Giving back for the 2011 Holidays!
Thank you to all of our shoppers and supporters of these great organizations for helping us donate more than $2,700, up from just over $2,000 in 2010!
You gave the gifts that keep on giving! Every purchase you make at Global Gifts makes such a difference, but during the holidays, your money goes even further.
Each November and December, Global Gifts hosts Community Shopping nights at our stores. This year, we partnered with 10 local non-profits, to donate 10% of our sales during their designted evening. This is a winning partnership for everyone. Our partners will receive more than $1,500.
Indianapolis organizations benefitting from this year's Community Nights partnership include:
- Best Buddies,
- Freewheelin' Community Bikes,
- Immigrant Welcome Center,
- Indiana Recycling Coalition,
- Indy Reads,
- Keep Indianapolis Beautiful,
- Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana.
Bloomington organizations include
On Black Fridays, we also give 10% of our total sales from all three stores back to international, national, and local groups. This years recipients will split more than $1,200 in donations. They are:
- Fair Trade Resource Network
- Manos Amigas
- Interfaith Hunger Initiative (Indianapolis),
- Interfaith Winter Shelter (Bloomington), and
- Visually Impaired Preschool Services
