Journal Excerpt from a Visit to Vietnam.

 

"After lunch we drove a short distance to visit a new group that is making bowls, plates and trays out of recycled magazine paper. The young woman who started the business is very enterprising and is now providing employment to about 20 young people from her home area about 700 km north of Saigon. Many young people in her home community (and all over Vietnam) have next to no employment opportunities so they look to the big cities for a job. This woman provides good jobs, a good place to work, good pay and a friendly, family-like atmosphere in which to work."
