Global Gifts to sell Carrie Newcomer benefit concert tickets!

(Indianapolis 09/22/2011) Global Gifts has been selected as the exclusive ticket retailer for Carrie Newcomer's October 15 Indianapolis concert debut of her new CD Everything is Everywhere. Profits Carrie Newcomer.from the concert and CD sales will benefit The Interfaith Hunger Initiative, a multi-faith organization working to end suffering and hunger internationally.

"We appreciate this opportunity to be in partnership with Carrie and the Interfaith Hunger Initiative. We see this as a great collaboration for both our mutual missions to help end hunger and suffering in the world. For more than 20 years, Global Gifts has strived to support artisans around the world who otherwise would have extremely limited opportunities for supporting themselves," said Kelly Trimble, Global Gifts interim director. "We hope this arrangement will not only support the Interfaith Hunger Initiative but also introduce more people to fair trade."

The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., October 15, at Second Presbyterian Church, 7700 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis. Indianapolis Global Gifts stores will sell the tickets for $18 in advance of the concert.

CDs will be available for sale at all three Global Gifts stores beginning November 1.
